The recipe for an unforgettable concept car is simple. Mix one of the planet's top animals, the raccoon, one of civilization's most prolific enablers of weird cars, Renault, and boom: a 1993 world's-first.

It's with a deep, heavy sigh I repeat: Renault brought digital car designs into reality.

This development led, in no particular order, to the 3D models, Photoshops, rendering softwares, Blender, Unreal Engine, AI-assisted workflows…and the eventual collapse of civilization.

Good news: turns out the perfect car for a future without roads, computers, or indoor plumbing is an amphibious French bubble-explorer with a twin-turbocharged Hartge-prepared 3.0-litre V6 engine and the kind of rizz that gets you the largest tent in the bivouac, no questions asked.

Plus, this is WCOTD, and we have the 1993 industrial film that started this glorious mess. Glorious mess, eh?

How raccoon of it.
