Pollmann Familienspass 91
Weird Car of the Day #492: 1991 Pollmann Familienspass 91 - High art
You'd think I keep a small trove of weird car stories ready to go, but no, I sometimes go from first draft to published email inside of 30 or 40 minutes, inclusive of making the lead graphics.
That's not a boast, or an indictment of my effort, I mention it because sometimes a little pressure helps to get things done.
I've been sitting on this brand of cars for years and today, with a loud sigh (and an email to a general inbox), I must declare that the Pollmann Familienspass 91 is the most intriguing concept car I've come across that I haven't been able to learn much about.
On its debut at the 1991 IAA show, its designer Gert Pollmann envisioned it as a cross between cars and off-road vehicle, with lots of interior space. Its greenhouse, front glass and roof has a variable geometry to let in the elements, with a small cargo bed out back.
