Opel Corsa Moon

A few years ago, during the height of the pandemic, Opel made the unforgivable must-have-been-the-fever sin of taking one of its old concept cars and repurposing it as an April Fool's gag. 

To this day, when you go looking for the Opel Corsa Moon, you'll find rendered images of a 2023 Moon II model, alongside text from the Very Funny German Automaker who assures you it's all a bit of a laugh, mercifully without the typical EU disclaimer too lengthy for the Dead Sea scrolls. (In general the Opel team seems to do good work on social media, no notes!)

When I worked at BRP and collaborated with its design department to make a render of an enclosed ATV with air conditioning for April Fool's—the goal is to get engagement, after all, so best to keep things as believable as possible—it was by far our most popular social media post of the year. Use your Borat voice: great success. And some company in Switzerland now builds its own version of it, true story.
