This is the world’s first jet turbine-powered car. Could also be the world’s first convertible with a rear cabin wind deflector but nobody ever seems to care about that when I tell them. Anyway.

And, as the world’s first, fastest, wind deflected baby jet aged British prototype, its gestation presented a number of unique challenges, for instance, the engineers who manned the jet turbine engine test bench had to volunteer…and, reports say, be unmarried.
