Dacia 1100 S

You’re looking at Romania’s first sports car. Not my words, the words from a period road test from the late 1960s, scanned and freshly translated.

It’s in reading this test I found a new appreciation for this very rare car — approximately 100 S were made in total — with most used hard and put away wet, here a factually correct statement. (Many were used as rally or police cars.)

Our special Dacia is perhaps more home grown than others give it credit for, and I’ll get to its unique features in a minute…
