To keep this one as short and lightweight as this car was (yeah, it looks flimsy to me, too!) I’ll do my best to keep this memorable and minimal.

In 1963, a young Luigi Colani took parts from a very pedestrian 2-cyl BMW 700, bolted them inside of the first-ever plastic monocoque chassis (approximately 350 kg, or 771 lbs.), and apparently was able to reach 200 km/h (125mph).
